How the Smart AC Control is powered and mounted
Most split air conditioners take commands from an infrared remote, and the Smart AC Control sends the same commands. It has to see the indoor unit's receiver, so position decides whether it works from every corner of the schedule.
Because it joins your Wi-Fi itself, there is no bridge to set up. In a home that heats with tado° X, it sits in its own Home in the same tado° account.

Does the Smart AC Control work with tado° X heating?
In a separate Home in the same account, yes. tado° gives the example of heating with tado° X in one property and cooling with Smart AC Control in another; the same split works within one home.
Does it need an electrician?
No. It needs no wiring: it replaces the infrared remote and connects to your Wi-Fi.
