Fit a West Elm Headboard to Your Existing Bed in London
West Elm sells headboards on their own, but its delivery team does not attach headboards to existing bed frames. A vetted JACK pro fits your West Elm headboard to the bed you have, or fixes it to the wall where the frame has no fixing points, for a fixed price before you book.
In short
West Elm's Home Delivery & Assembly team does not attach headboards to existing bed frames, so book that separately. A JACK pro in London bolts the headboard to your frame's fixing points, makes up an adapter where the holes do not line up, or fixes the headboard to the wall instead, for a fixed price before you book.

How a headboard goes on
There are three ways, and the pro picks the one your bed allows:
- Bolted to the frame: most bases and frames have headboard holes, and the headboard struts line up with them
- With adapter plates or a bracket where the holes do not line up, for example a divan or an older frame
- Fixed to the wall: a cleat or brackets on the wall, so the headboard stays put even if the bed moves
What to send
So the price is right first time:
- The West Elm headboard product link and size
- A photo of the head end of your bed, showing any fixing holes
- A photo of the wall behind the bed, and whether it is brick or a stud wall if you know
How West Elm assembly is priced
A vetted pro prices your piece from the product link and a photo of the room, and the JACK app shows you that fixed price before you book.
The design moves the price far more than the size. A side table with screw-in legs is a short job. A solid-wood bed with a slatted base, a six-drawer dresser with runners to align, or a sectional sofa whose pieces clip together is a much longer one. Send the product link or a screenshot of the order so the price is for the piece you bought.
Several pieces from one delivery, such as a bed, two nightstands and a dresser, go on one booking for one price. Pieces from other shops can go on the same visit. Where parking has to be paid for, it is added at cost and agreed before you book.
Prefer to pay for the pro's time? Hourly hire works too: as a guide, furniture assembly is typically £35–£75 per hour. For a big delivery, a full-day handyman booking often suits: a flat £350–£400 for up to 8 hours on site.
Frequently asked questions
Will a West Elm headboard fit my divan or IKEA bed?
Often, with the right bolts or an adapter. Send a photo of the head end of the bed and the headboard link. If the frame has no usable fixing points, the headboard can be fixed to the wall instead.
